Tijuana - Not Just for Trinkets Anymore

For those of us who live in southern California, mini trips to Tijuana are usually about purchasing some cool blankets on the cheap, maybe having some furniture made, or picking up pottery. Add in a meal, and bing, walk back across the border to CA! I've been wanting to go back and explore a little more and this article: Tijuana Luxury Day Trip - The Hidden Tijuana has given me a whole new set of ideas. I'm hoping to either plan a getaway family weekend from our Oceanside vacation condo, or to do a day trip centered on Mother's Day. Trendy, Luxurious, or Thrifty - Tijuana's got it!

Carlsbad Flower Fields

It is mid March, and I though I missed the Flower Fields, but again. I'm going there next week come h.ll or high water! If you get the chance to stay in Orange County, San Diego, or Oceanside, just don't miss this colorful spectacle of nature!
